Incantation
Watercolor on paper, 12 × 12 in (2025)
Movement becomes invocation. In Incantation, a figure spirals through a seated twist, arms opening to the side as wisps of white drift from her fingertips—gesture as spell. Multiple transparent washes build a spectrum of reds—from ember to blood-orange—balanced by a deep green shadow that grounds the body. This piece marks the first full articulation of the watercolor language I’m developing for Metanoia: heat at the core, atmosphere around the edges, transformation in motion.
Original, one of a kind
Professional watercolor on heavyweight cotton rag
Signed; certificate of authenticity included
Ships flat in archival packaging; insured
Framing recommendation: float mount with bright white mat, UV-protective glazing
